A seismological phenomenon preceding the 2017 Ms7.0 Jiuzhaigou earthquake

On 8 August 2017, a Ms7.0 earthquake occurred in Jiuzhaigou the Sichuan Province of China. In this study, we obtained vertical continuous data recorded at 12 nearby broadband seismometers from April to December order characterize temporal and spatial variations ground motion prior onset earthquake. Using self-mutual information method, determined that July value increased several stations. The spatiotemporal evolution also shows region highest migrates south north toward epicenter. Among them, change SPA (the station closest epicenter) is most prominent.
